Your Birth Right
When we never uncover who we are called to be, we rob the world of a gift. There is NOTHING that we possess, no profession, no title, no position, that will define our identity.
Let's start from the very beginning; every single one of us is born into this world looking for someone who is looking for us! Yes, you read that right, we come into this world knowing somebody is looking for us and this is called secure attachment, meaning, I am loved and cared for. This is one of the fundamental human needs that we are born with.
But what happens is as we go through life and its painful experiences, our level of secure attachment lowers and we begin to outsource things like love and worthiness, we start believing that people can make us feel the feelings that we long to feel and we become needy of external validation to feel worthy. And because we are all human, it's guaranteed that we will fail each other.
